NFLPA President Dan Campbell has spoken with representatives from the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills to talk about a possible settlement with the NFL.
Campbell told reporters Tuesday that he’s still in contact with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and that the league would like to see a deal before the March 4 deadline.
The NFLPA was able to negotiate a deal in 2016 after the NFLPA’s collective bargaining agreement expired.
The agreement gave players and coaches the option to participate in the league’s salary cap.
Campsello says he hopes that a deal can be struck in the next week or two to ensure that the two sides have a solution for a possible revenue shortfall.
