DISNEY + BOWIE PACKAGE Disney + WB have been buying up theater inventory at movie theaters nationwide for the past two weeks.
On Monday, the Walt Disney Company purchased 3,600 seats in three theaters in the United Kingdom.
On Wednesday, the company also bought 3,000 seats in a theater in Chicago.
On Friday, Disney +WB purchased 2,600 tickets in a movie theater in Atlanta.
On Saturday, Disney and WB also bought 2,300 tickets in two theaters in Philadelphia.
On Sunday, Disney bought 2.5,000 tickets in New York City.
The next day, Disney & WB also purchased 1,000 theater seats in Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, Disney purchased 1.2,000 theaters in Chicago and one in Philadelphia for $6.3 billion.
This comes on top of the $11.2 billion purchase of Cinemark by the Walt and Disney family of companies.
Disney + MGM Entertainment is also purchasing seats at theaters across the country.
Disney’s latest purchase was in San Diego, where it bought a 6,000-seat theater for $4.7 billion.
On the same day, it also bought a 2,000 seat theater in Austin, Texas.
It also bought seats in Las Vegas on Thursday.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the Walt-Disney Family of Companies also bought 6,300 seats at one theater in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
On Thursday, it bought 5,000 additional seats at a theater outside Los Angeles, as well.
Warner Bros., the parent company of Warner Brothers, has also bought 1,600 theater seats for $5.9 billion.
Disney bought an additional 2,200 theater seats on Thursday, according to The Wall Street Journal.
In addition to buying movie theaters and theater seats, Disney is also investing in new media ventures.
This includes the launch of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a cinematic universe in which Marvel superheroes will appear on screen.
The company also announced plans to release new series of movies, including the Avengers: Infinity War, which will include a cinematic version of the film Thor.
